I became a Veterinary Technician in 2019 after attending the Veterinary Technician program at Pierce College and earned my license by passing the national exam (VTNE). I joined Deschutes Animal Clinic shortly following my graduation, and within a year was handling all ordering and inventory for the practice. In 2021 I became Lead Technician, with added managerial responsibilities, and in January 2022 celebrated 15 years in pet care!
I have been caring for and working with small animals since childhood. I was introduced to veterinary care at an early age by my mother who worked at a local veterinary hospital, and also volunteered with local pet & wildlife rescues.
I opened The Darling Dog with my husband after welcoming our daughter Darcy Darling Fogle in December 2022. ‘Darling’ is a family name that has been handed down since 1838, when Grace Darling saved several sailors from a shipwreck off the coast of England. This name has since been passed down to all the daughters on my mother's side of the family; and is now the inspiration for THE DARLING DOG. Check out more of Grace's story at The Story of Grace Darling (rnli.org).
When I’m not tending to the pets in residence at The Darling Dog, I enjoy spending time with my three children (Eamon, Darcy, and Layne), husband Wes, our own dogs, and riding off-road vehicles. We all live on site and enjoy caring for the facility as a family.”
In 2024 we took a hiatus as a result of a house fire, in which we lost our beloved dog, McClane. During that time I focused on family and planning our future. We made improvements to our ‘new’ home, had a 6ft cedar fence installed, and were blessed to welcome a beautiful baby boy named Layne.

We accept all donations for animals. Honored by the outreach from our customers asking if they can bring items for donation.
